“Mike Swingle has been pastor of First Baptist Church of Harbor Oaks since 2017. Pastor Mike is married to Lisa, his wife of over 26 years. They have one daughter, Analisa Grace, who attends Spruce Creek High School. Pastor Mike, a lifelong resident of Florida, enjoys his church, the great outdoors, and anything that has to do with the Florida Gators.“
Pastor Mike has served in Christian ministry for over 27 years in various capacities, in volunteer roles, bi-vocational and in fulltime ministry. Pastor Mike also has a close connection to Florida public schools, as his wife Lisa has been a science teacher for over 20 years, and Pastor Mike has served and worked in the Florida school system himself for over 10 years in various capacities working with special needs children. Pastor Mike has a heart for kids!Being the son of a preacher, Pastor Mike loves his church, his family and his community. He invites any and all to “come as you are” and be our guest! First Baptist Church of Harbor Oaks began as a mission of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach over 40 years ago! In what used to be known as McKee Castle, First Baptist Church of Harbor Oaks was born. Nestled along the famous U.S. highway 1, First Baptist Church got its name from the countless majestic oak trees that were on the property. Today, there are still a number of those old oak trees around to see and appreciate.
Our pastor, Mike Swingle, came to lead the family of God here at First Baptist Church of Harbor Oaks in August of 2017. He has been married to his wonderful wife Lisa for 26 years, and together they have a daughter named Analisa. Pastor Mike has been in ministry for over 25 years in various roles in the state of Florida. A native of Daytona Beach, Florida, Pastor Mike enjoys the beach, the sun and all things gators. He also has a heart for the community of Harbor Oaks to see and know the love of Jesus! We encourage you to come see what God is doing here at FBC Harbor Oaks!
